Caregiving

Being a Super Caregiver

What we believe it takes to be a Super Caregiver on our team. We look for ways to be a Super Caregiver. We go above your job description. We do the little things for residents, and co-caregivers.

Compassion

Being Compassionate

To be compassionate starts with the simple idea of being patient. Taking the time to listen and understand. We strive to have compassion and patience for residents, family members, and co-caregivers. It is important to be mindful of resident’s dignity and privacy. Love residents as your own family.

Humility

Being Flexible and Teachable

To have a humble heart is the intersection of being teachable and flexible. Our team is willing to work nonscheduled shifts. We strive to keep an open minds, listen, and be willing to learn new things. We keep certificates up to date, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to learning.

Responsibility

Being Responsible

Taking ownership of our actions is an important element of our team dynamic. We complete tasks on each shift. We are focused and concentrate to pass medications safely. We are on time or early when we are scheduled. We are aware of the needs of residents and take control of the situations that need attention during our shifts.

Synergy

Building Staff Synergy

One plus one is more than two. When we work together, we can produce more than we can working independently. We work together to make magic happen. We look for ways to surprise co-caregivers. We strive to have a good attitude and work together.

Communication

Communicating

Simply talking can make all the difference. Open and honest communication is our goal. We complete shift change reports accurately and on time. We call the manager, nurse, and family members of residents when necessary. We complete MARS accurately, including incident reports, vitals, weights, etc.

Laughter

Creating Fun, Smiles, and Laughter

Bringing joy to everyone around us is how we give our all. We ask ourselves; how can we smile more? How can we get the residents to laugh until they cry? How can we create fun moments?

Relationships

Creating Positive Interactions

Being upbeat is contagious. Our goal is to look for opportunities and to show patience and caring to residents, family members, and co-caregivers. We are always mindful of resident’s dignity and privacy. We love residents like they are our own family.

WOW Experiences

Delivering “WOW” Experiences

Just WOW! When people see us doing our job and making it look effortless and impressive that’s WOW. We look for opportunities to WOW residents, family members, home health agencies, and basically, with anyone we come in contact. We welcome everyone with, eye contact, asking how we can help, remembering names, and escorting them when necessary.
